The Ewan site

Welcome to the Ewan site. Since putting up this site, we have found that a lot of people share the name Ewan (both as a first name and as a surname)!

This is the home site for Sufficiently Advanced Technology Inc, which also runs the Esmerel web site

Ann Ewan's fantasy books

Ann has created a new monster! Her description of subterrs, the subway monsters, is in Gods, Memes and Monsters, from Stone Skin Press. Subterr movement accounts for as much as 80% of sudden stops and slow-downs of underground trains. Those who are at the front of the train and look carefully might see the faint light of their eyes.

Here's a link to the book on Amazon: Gods, Memes and Monsters: A 21st Century Bestiary.

Ann's original fable "The Cat and the Cell Phone" was published in 2013 in a wonderful collection of modern fables called The Lion and the Aardvark. The book was originally published in the U.K but she met all the Toronto authors at a local book launch and reading in May 2013.

Ann also had a monstrous short story published in 2013. It's called Ogre Baby and is in Issue 7 of Here Be Monsters: Tongues and Teeth. You can read an excerpt from Ann's story, Ogre Baby, online in the Here Be Monsters blog. Warning: Gory horror violence.

Ann has recently started making films and is having a lot of fun. She and Rob were just involved in an Oscar-winning short film, An Irish Goodbye., that won the 2023 Best Live Action Short Film Oscar! They get "special thanks" in the list of cast and crew, which is pretty cool. Before that, they funded a short film, Royal Blood, that won Best Short Film Award at the Milton Film Festival in 2018, and in 2019 they made another short film, Transfer, this time writing it as well as funding it. Censorship on Virgin radio?

Just a question really, but no one at the radio station answered our email so we wrote this page about Virgin taking over Mix99.9.
